Fort Myers River District Bike Night Season Continues on January 23, 2010, and Temporary Downtown Road Closings

FORT MYERS, Fla. (December 30, 2009) – The law firm of Berke & Lubell, P.A., is pleased to present the Fort Myers River District Bike Night in the streets of the downtown Fort Myers River District on Saturday, January 23, 2010, from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. The Fort Myers Redevelopment Agency and Events x D’zign are producing the event.

The event is FREE to the public and all motorcycles are welcome. Live musical entertainment from The Mixx will be provided, and approximately 30 street vendors and many downtown businesses will be open.

The event will call for temporary road closings between noon and 11 p.m. on the day of the event, as listed below:

Road Closures

• First Street will be closed between Broadway and Jackson Street;
• Hendry Street will be closed from Bay Street to halfway between Main and Second streets;
• Dean Street will be closed from Bay Street to First Street;
• Main Street will be closed between Broadway and midway between Hendry and Jackson streets.

Additional sections closed are due to construction and local traffic only designations. Local traffic only access will be available for the eastern half of Main Street between Hendry Street and Jackson and the southern half of Hendry Street between Main and Second streets. A map of all street closings during the event is available.

Motorcycle parking will be within the closed streets as well as in the adjoining streets. Parking for all vehicles will be available throughout the River District, and access to the Main Street parking garage will be available.

The 2009/2010 season features four Bike Nights, with the first occurring on November 7, 2009; followed by the January 9, 2010 Bike Night; and two more event nights on March 13, 2010 and May 8, 2010.
