More Crinoline Productions and the Sidney & Berne Davis Art Center are pleased to be offering free theater during Art Walk to keep residents and visitors coming downtown for the arts during the summer and also during this challenging economic time. We are introducing this fresh and exciting idea to the already-popular Art Walk and hope this will be the first of many such cooperative ventures! Art Walk takes place on the first Friday of every month and features downtown galleries, live music, restaurants, and more.
All of the shows being produced will begin at 7 pm and will run between 20 and 30 minutes. Donations will be gratefully accepted and will go to cover the costs of the production and the restoration of the historic Sidney and Berne Davis Art Center. Following are the one-act shows and their production dates:
July 3 - Variations on the Death of Trotsky
August 7 - (adaptation of Chekhov's) Swan Song
For more information, please email the SBDAC at annette@fl-arts.org, or call us at 337-1933.
Join us for another night of FREE one-act plays with local favorites Robert Feigenblatt, Louise Wigglesworth, and Michael Dunsworth in: VARIATIONS ON THE DEATH OF TROTSKY, a hilarious romp through eight possible endings to the Russian revolutionary's dramatic life. Also, see local artist Charlie Brown's exhibition at the center!
On Friday starting at 4:00pm Centennial Park will be officially open to the general public for this FREE event! We will be filling the park with the sounds of All American music, good food, cold drinks, games for the kids and then at 9:00pm well light up the sky with a one of kind Laser Light Show combining Lasers and Fireworks, a display never done before in Southwest Florida!
