Cinco de Mayo Downtown Fort Myers

The merchants of Downtown Fort Myers, also known as the River District Alliance, announce the biggest party of the year for Cinco de Mayo to celebrate the fact that 4,000 Mexican soldiers smashed the French and traitor Mexican army of 8,000 at Puebla, Mexico, 100 miles east of Mexico City on the morning of May 5, 1862.
So, in celebration of the underdog defeating the French, the Downtown River District is hosting a huge celebration on Wednesday, May 5th to celebrate Cinco de Mayo, which is Spanish for the 5th of May.
Join the merchants of Downtown Fort Myers who will have 5+ stages of live music throughout the night, five blocks of entertainment and dancing. Five specialty beers served all night long and 5 hours of fiesta starting at 6PM. Plus, free parking, no admissions charges and give away prizes throughout the night.

7th Annual Ride of Silence!

Cyclists will ride in a silent procession at 10-12 mph for 1 hr. to honor those who have been killed or injured while cycling on public roadways.
